Ansara Terendak vs OGA Cougars

This is Our 2nd match in the Alumni League against Alumni MRSM Terendak. We had an impressive turnout with more than 30 players to choose from for today's match.

1st Half
Cougars bermulo dengan garang di permulaan perlawanan dengan mengasak kubu lawan sebaik sahaja wisel ditiup. We managed to get a penalty and was beautifully kicked by ijat to make the score 0-3. Terendak tried to level score with penetrating Cougar's defenses but unable to take the opportunity given. Cougars, with fast counter attacking managed to score a try through the confusing side steps of fuad and speed of our backline moves. Again Ijat gracefully booted the conversion to make the score 0-8. Cougars controlled 60% of the possesion throughout the 1st half with superb line outs however failed to capitalised on the size and strength that we have in the scrum. Again breakdown proves to be a crucial area where we need to be more aware and move faster to cover and recycle the ball. Temper began to rise and this should not happened especially if we began to 'maki' our own teammates..moral down semangat pun hilang..so we need to take note on that and further improve our self discplined and not to let our mates down.

2nd half

Changes were made with 5 subs. The second half showed that we are able to play as a team and started to gel with each other. Moceng scored the second try in the early minutes on the 2nd half through nice support plays from the backs. Ijat again slotted the conversion to make it 0-17. We improved our game and controlling most of the play. We scored the third try after a move that started from midfield, goes through the right corner and with support from the forwards, we pushed, pick and drive and finally a try scored by Panadol however Ijat failed to slot the conversion and the score stays at 0-22. Terendak did not gave up and were awarded with a consolation try under the posts but failed to convert the try. Thanks to those who came to support today's match. Next week (24-25/7/09) will be the Ansara 7s. Hope to see you all there.
